Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy

The Hobby Hub is a free, community-built catalog where collectors contribute card data together while keeping their personal inventory strictly private. By using the platform you agree to the terms below.

Effective date · June 2026

Your inventory is private

Quantities, conditions and personal notes are isolated per user via database Row Level Security. No other user — collector or admin — can read your inventory rows.

The catalog is shared

Player names, teams, years, brands and images you add to the global catalog are visible to every authenticated user and can be edited or moderated by the community.

The Hobby Hub ("the Hub") is a collaborative web application that lets registered collectors (a) contribute entries to a shared, crowd-sourced catalog of trading cards and pins across multiple categories (baseball, soccer, football, FIFA World Cup, Coca-Cola pins) and (b) maintain a strictly private inventory of the items they personally own. The service is provided as-is, free of charge, with no commercial guarantees.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide a real, valid email address so that we can contact you about your account and any moderation actions. Accounts found to be used for spam, abuse or fraud may be blocked or removed at our discretion.

Any data you submit to the global catalog (player names, teams, years, brands, card numbers, variant types and images) becomes part of a shared, community resource. Other authenticated users can view, edit and flag your contributions. You retain ownership of your original content but grant other Hub users a non-exclusive, worldwide license to view, edit and build upon your contributions within the platform. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.

Your personal inventory (quantity, condition, personal notes and which catalog rows you own) is stored in a separate table protected by database Row Level Security policies that scope every read, insert, update and delete to auth.uid(). This means: no other user can see your stock, no admin tool exposes your private rows, and aggregated stats shown anywhere in the UI are computed solely from your own data.

You agree not to upload illegal, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit content; not to impersonate other people or brands; not to abuse the catalog with spam or low-quality entries; and not to circumvent platform protections (RLS, rate limits, authentication). The community can flag entries, and platform admins can edit or delete catalog entries that violate these rules. Repeated violations may result in your account being blocked.

We process: (a) your email address and authentication identifiers, (b) your encrypted password or OAuth tokens from Google, (c) the catalog entries and images you contribute, (d) your private inventory rows, (e) reports you file on catalog entries and (f) standard service logs needed to operate and secure the platform. We do not sell your data, we do not run third-party ad tracking on the Hub, and we do not share your private inventory with anyone.

Images you upload are resized and compressed in your browser before being saved to private storage. They are served back to authenticated users through signed URLs. By uploading an image you confirm you have the right to share it as part of the public catalog. You can request removal of any image you uploaded by reporting the entry or contacting platform admins.

You may at any time: view all data we hold on you, edit or delete the catalog entries you created, delete your private inventory, change your email or password, or delete your account entirely. Deleting your account removes your private inventory and breaks the link between you and your catalog contributions, which remain in the shared catalog as community content unless they violate these terms.

We may update these terms as the Hub evolves. Material changes will be announced in the application before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions, takedown requests and privacy inquiries can be sent through the report feature on any catalog entry or to the email associated with the Hub.
